2016 is coming to an end!
What a great year it has been. Some styles we have seen a ton of this year were the Ombre in every shade imaginable, a TON of fashion pop colors, the LOB (long bob), and flat iron curls.

Next years forecast shows that ombre is NOT going anywhere and we will be seeing a lot more Bronde!

Full bangs and medium length shags are also on the horizon for 2017.
Flat iron curls will continue to make waves in the hair world. Ask your stylist how to use this technique at home.
So as we head into the New Year:
THANK YOU for this year. To our clients, stylists, and readers we appreciate your love!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Love, Bridget Zuniga

Ombre

Hi Readers,
Most hair trends tend to last about a year to 18 months. One trend that seems like it is NOT going anywhere is Ombre. Ombre has truly taken the world by storm, especially for the younger clientele. The draw to rocking an ombre is that it tends to look more natural and has less maintenance than a normal highlight. This trend has several different routes to take as well. We have transitioned from a standard ombre (which is more dramatic) to sombres, balayage, baby lights, and painting. The industry has developed incredible products to help stylists continue to get that seamless look in less time than when ombre first arrived. With this look you can also take on very different avenues in the colors you choose. The standard ombre seems to be blonde ends and a natural root, but our stylists have created dark brown roots to caramel ends, a red ombre, and even sometimes a punk color ombre. This look is different to every client and it is totally customize-able to give you a unique look that you wont see on anyone else. Our stylists are enjoying everything ombres have to offer and really changing the way we used to do things. Here are some looks our stylists have done...

You can see why we love them. Each one of these looks is so different!
Embrace the ombre!

Updo Relief

Good morning readers,
Last night I attended the Marine Corps Ball with my Husband. I felt like a million dollars! My make up was flawless, my hair was incredible, and my dress was perfect. The ball was a ton of fun seeing all the beautiful dresses, updos, and make up all of the women came with. The amount of effort that goes into this evening is incredible.

Now for the after. The ball was over and we all headed up to our rooms at the Pala Resort and Casino and reality set in. I have to wash my beautiful make up off and BRUSH MY HAIR.... Many women have experienced an updo at some point in their lives and know the horror of brushing out an updo. Its painful and it makes you feel bald afterward. So, you go from the belle of the ball to and absolutely hideous sight in your own eyes and your self esteem is crushed. At least for me it feels that way. This time I decided to do something about it. I brought a few of my FAVORITE hair care products to help alleviate the deconstruction of a beautiful hair do. First, I sprayed ENJOY Conditioning Spray everywhere after I took out all my 43 bobbi pins. Then, I lightly brushed my hair starting at the ends and working my way up. Now, I cannot say I was successful in getting every last tangle and not losing a little bit of hair, but it was dramatically less than years past. The next thing I did was hop in the shower and use my ENJOY Hydrating Shampoo to help cleanse the hairspray out of me and rejuvenate my cuticle with moisture. Then, I nourished my hair with ENJOY Instant Reconstructor. OMG it's such an amazing tool for every day use and for this special occasion. I left it in for 5 minutes and gently ran my hands through my hair. I couldn't believe how easy it was. After I washed it out and completed my shower, I sprayed my ENJOY Conditioning Spray into my hair 3 times. Then, I brushed. My hair felt soft, it felt alive, it felt like I never hurt it with all that hairspray and teasing that was done. I'm a firm believer in my ENJOY hair care product. It definitely saved me from the horror of deconstructing an updo.
My goal with this post is to provide you with ways to help you love your hair when it doesn't exactly love you. So, here is a little information about the few products listed above...

Enjoy Hydrating Shampoo: This lightweight shampoo leaves hair cleansed and moisturized while adding shine and softness.

Enjoy Instant Reconstructor: This lightweight conditioner instantly reconstructs and moisturizes dry, brittle, weak, or over processed hair, giving hair new life and vitality.

Enjoy Conditioning Spray Great for all hair types, this leave-in detangler will hydrate, strengthen, and reduce frizz. Great for reactivating styling aids and deodorizing day two hair.

I hope you enjoyed this post and have future success with Updo's!!!

Yours Truly,
Bridget Zuniga

The majority of our stylists have worked here for 10+ years. It is very much like a family in this salon.
Hopefully, in the future, you enjoy our blog posts and are able to really connect to us and to our mission. Our mission is to give you an amazing experience that keeps you coming back for more. Soon enough you'll be a part of our family too!
